Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation and monthly financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure full compliance with tax regulations.
- Perform internal and external audits, identifying risks and recommending process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support the annual budgeting process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior accounting staff.
