Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and local tax regulations.
- Lead the external audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documentation and support regulatory inquiries.
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on accounting software and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
