What You Will Do
Our ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and possesses a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial statements and the efficiency of our accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement best practices, and enhance internal controls to increase operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of financial data for external audits and tax filings, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Cost Management: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable insights to management to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accounting staff, provide training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (CPA/MBA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or a corporate finance environment.
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
