Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and properly documented.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and account variance analyses to identify trends and anomalies.
- Assist in the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and processes to mitigate risk.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
