Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the freight and logistics sector.
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high retention and upselling.
- Prepare accurate quotations and negotiate shipping terms and rates with customers.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing structures.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding or shipping industry.
- Strong understanding of global trade, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on negotiation.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office applications.
- Valid driverβs license is an advantage.
