Responsibilities
- Provide specialized oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment with precision and empathy
- Collaborate with oncologists, palliative care specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Lead patient/family counseling sessions on treatment plans and palliative care options
- Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical research initiatives
- Maintain strict adherence to oncology protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state)
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Oncology/Oncology Hematology certification (OCN or AOCN)
- Minimum 2 years recent oncology nursing experience
- Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents
- Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacology and side effect management
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
