Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to determine optimal patient treatment plans.
- Oversee preoperative care, surgical execution, and postoperative recovery protocols.
- Develop and implement new surgical techniques to improve patient safety and recovery times.
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and clinical staff to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Collaborate with the research department to advance clinical trials and cardiac medical technology.
- Ensure full compliance with institutional policies and national medical board regulations.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Thoracic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery center.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing medical teams and foster a culture of excellence.
- Strong publication record or history of participation in medical research preferred.
