Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of complex laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, and microbiology with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated automated laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Verify and validate test results to ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulations.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff and students.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain laboratory accreditation standards.
- Document all test results and procedures accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related Life Science field.
- ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent certification (e.g., AMT, NCA).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
