Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret complex physiological data in real-time.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer advanced medication protocols and manage life-support equipment.
- Maintain precise electronic medical records (EMR) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate families on patient status and provide emotional support during critical transitions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, CCU, or high-acuity surgical settings.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergency interventions.
