Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI and CT scans, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by explaining procedures, positioning patients correctly, and minimizing radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate diagnostic data for patient treatment plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and hospital accreditation standards.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions to the biomedical engineering team immediately.
- Document patient history, exam results, and follow-up care instructions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (R) certification or equivalent state licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical radiology setting, preferably with MRI/CT expertise.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient privacy and data security (HIPAA compliance).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
