Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient condition changes in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Administer medications and perform complex medical procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and interpret data from advanced life-support equipment and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, intensivists, and respiratory therapists.
- Advocate for patients and families, providing emotional support during critical health transitions.
- Maintain precise medical documentation compliant with HIPAA and hospital protocols.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN certification is a significant plus).
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain composure during emergencies.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
