Responsibilities
- Lead complex drug discovery projects targeting novel therapeutic areas
- Design and execute preclinical studies to assess efficacy and safety profiles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including toxicology and regulatory affairs
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for compound characterization
- Present research findings to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior scientists and drive innovation in laboratory practices
- Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP and international regulatory standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in drug discovery and preclinical development
- Expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, and high-throughput screening
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software
- Deep understanding of FDA/EMA regulatory pathways
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience with CRO partnerships and clinical trial coordination
