Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement acute nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor life support equipment and patient vital signs, interpreting data to adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer complex intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products with precision.
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and specialists to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Maintain meticulous electronic medical records in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Mentor nursing students and support the onboarding of junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN certification is highly preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Proficiency with modern EMR systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
