Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients across diverse medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, including ventilator management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize advanced monitoring systems to assess patient status and intervene promptly
- Document patient data accurately in Epic EMR system
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU care and recovery processes
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in critical care monitoring technologies
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
