Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients with complex conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, administering specialized cardiac medications
- Perform precise hemodynamic assessments and intervene in emergency situations
- Collaborate with cardiologists and surgeons during procedures and post-operative care
- Implement evidence-based protocols for ventilator management and hemodynamic support
- Provide family-centered education and emotional support during critical care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred) with current Illinois RN license
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience with cardiac specialty focus
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Experience with Epic EMR and cardiac monitoring systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
