Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer precise medications and interventions during emergency situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and post-procedure care
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years ICU or cardiac nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
