Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze complex preclinical and clinical research studies
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel drug formulations and delivery systems
- Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and ICH regulations throughout development
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to departmental R&D strategy
- Present findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with CMC, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Operations teams
- Identify emerging technologies and methodologies to accelerate drug development
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR) and formulation development
- Strong regulatory affairs background with IND/NDA submission experience
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional project management
- Publication record in peer-reviewed pharmaceutical journals
- Proficiency with GMP/GLP protocols and documentation practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of biostatistics and clinical trial design principles
