Responsibilities
- Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and critical care interventions for post-operative and high-acuity patients
- Administer specialized medications and perform complex cardiac procedures with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery protocols
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency resuscitation efforts
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or cardiac telemetry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ASN candidates with relevant experience considered
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic health records
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
