Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients in a 20-bed ICU
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ECGs, and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer medications and perform complex interventions per physician orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient-centered care planning
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and recovery protocols
Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU or cardiac experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Experience with vent management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
