Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for various infrastructure developments.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, contractors, environmental specialists, and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to inform design decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to present designs, address concerns, and secure project approvals.
- Implement quality control procedures and best practices to ensure the highest standards of engineering output.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, StormCAD).
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to civil infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with sustainable design principles and practices is highly desirable.
