Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Manage cross-functional teams including machine operators, technicians, and quality inspectors
- Monitor KPIs including production output, defect rates, and equipment utilization
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and troubleshoot production issues
- Develop and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D on process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production supervision
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Proven leadership experience with unionized/non-union teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts and stand for extended periods
