Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations across 3 assembly lines, ensuring KPI targets for output and quality are consistently exceeded
- Implement and optimize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste by 15% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams including machinists, quality inspectors, and logistics coordinators
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime (target: 98%+)
- Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering department to implement process improvements and new technology integrations
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and ISO 9001 quality protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in automotive manufacturing production supervision
- Certified Lean Manufacturing Practitioner (CLMP) or Six Sigma Green Belt required
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP/JDE experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success in reducing production costs while improving quality metrics
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret production data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent leadership abilities with proven team development track record
