Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production associates to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Oversee all manufacturing processes, ensuring strict adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Implement and enforce Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular quality control checks and collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to resolve any product discrepancies.
- Manage employee performance, including training, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment, coordinating with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and shift reports.
- Promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a diverse team in a high-volume production setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and quality control processes.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
