Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines
- Implement and optimize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage team of 15+ production staff including hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and ISO 9001 quality systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades and process innovations
- Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in manufacturing leadership roles
- Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
- Proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making
- Experience managing unionized production environments
- Knowledge of automotive or heavy equipment manufacturing processes
