Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of deepwater subsea pipelines, risers, and steel catenary configurations.
  • Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to mitigate lateral buckling, pipeline walking, and thermal expansion risks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary asset teams to optimize subsea layout architectures and installation methods.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with rigorous API, ASME, and DNV GL standards.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and continuous professional development.
  • Manage key technical interfaces with major offshore installation contractors, certifying bodies, and equipment manufacturers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ocean, Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience specializing in deepwater subsea pipeline design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Orcaflex, ABAQUS, and Mathcad.
  • In-depth expertise in international codes such as DNV-ST-F101, API RP 1111, and ASME B31.8.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful offshore pipeline projects from concept to installation.
  • Strong leadership skills coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is highly preferred.
