Responsibilities
- Lead complex reservoir simulation studies to optimize field development plans and maximize recovery factors.
- Perform comprehensive pressure transient analysis (PTA) and decline curve analysis (DCA) to provide accurate production forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geoscientists and drilling engineers to integrate subsurface characterizations.
- Evaluate and implement Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) opportunities and pilot projects for mature global assets.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff and lead internal peer review sessions for critical projects.
- Develop robust economic models and provide high-level recommendations for capital investment and asset acquisition.
- Present technical findings and strategic development roadmaps to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Reservoir Engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline is highly preferred.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard software suites including Petrel, Eclipse, and tNavigator.
- Proven track record of successful field development planning and asset valuation.
- Strong understanding of advanced fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and rock-fluid interaction.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas is a significant advantage.
