Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision parts.
- Interpret complex blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications, and CAD models.
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment to ensure tolerance compliance.
- Optimize machining cycles and tooling configurations to improve production speed and quality.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure 99% uptime.
- Document production runs and maintain detailed logs for ERP system integration.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and refine part programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-precision CNC machining within an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in G-code programming and familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360).
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and cutting tool properties.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training or apprenticeship completion is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
