Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC milling and turning machines to meet exacting tolerances.
- Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
- Perform regular tool changes and offset adjustments to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report complex technical failures to the maintenance team.
- Document production logs and report throughput data to the Production Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Machining or Manufacturing Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in programming G-Code and M-Code, specifically with Fanuc or Siemens controllers.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
