Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC mills and lathes to meet exact design specifications.
- Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements to ensure part accuracy.
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools like micrometers and CMMs.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve efficiency and reduce material waste.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine prototypes and troubleshoot production challenges.
- Execute routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure peak operational performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and strictly safety-compliant workspace.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; technical degree or trade certification in Machining preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC milling and turning.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360 preferred).
- Solid understanding of cutting tool materials, speeds, and feeds for various alloys.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
