Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning machines to tight tolerances.
- Interpret complex blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
- Perform daily machine inspections to ensure operational safety and production efficiency.
- Utilize G-code programming to optimize production workflows and reduce cycle times.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace according to Lean Manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and prototype new designs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in high-precision CNC machining.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam or SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical mechanical drawings.
- Proven expertise in utilizing manual and digital precision measurement tools.
- Strong understanding of metallurgical properties and cutting tool speeds/feeds.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification from a technical vocational program or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.
