Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
- Perform daily machine inspections and routine maintenance to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Edit G-code and M-code programs to optimize cycle times and production output.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine manufacturing processes for new product prototypes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Machining preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a CNC production environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam experience is a major plus).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to zero-defect production.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues under tight production deadlines.
