Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal merchandise financial plans to meet sales, margin, and inventory goals.
- Analyze weekly sales performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for replenishment or markdown optimization.
- Collaborate closely with buying teams to align inventory levels with curated product assortments and marketing calendars.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) processes to ensure fiscal health and efficient capital allocation.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to provide inventory insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor competitive market shifts and adjust inventory strategies proactively.
- Oversee store-level allocation strategies to maximize sell-through rates across different geographic clusters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex modeling).
- Strong understanding of retail math, including GMROI, sell-through, and inventory turnover.
- Proven ability to translate analytical insights into profitable business strategies.
- Experience with ERP and planning software such as SAP, Oracle Retail, or JDA.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
