  • Develop and manage seasonal merchandise financial plans to maximize sales and gross margin.
  • Execute open-to-buy (OTB) processes, ensuring inventory levels align with sales targets and company strategy.
  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand and inform buying decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying and Allocation teams to ensure product availability across all distribution channels.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with overstock or understock scenarios through proactive reporting.
  • Partner with store operations to drive regional performance and address inventory discrepancies.
  • Present business performance metrics to senior leadership during weekly trade meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex modeling).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
  • Expertise in retail planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle, or SAP).
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, including GMROI, WOS, and sell-through analysis.
