Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components using CAD/CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance simulations to validate designs.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and project management.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of new products and systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for existing designs and processes.
- Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods.
- Provide technical support and expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and FEA simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
