Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the mechanical design process from concept through to production, utilizing CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Prototyping: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee rapid prototyping and test new designs in real-world scenarios.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to strict industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control protocols (GD&T).
- Problem Solving: Identify potential engineering challenges early in the development cycle and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Maintenance: Provide technical support for existing product lines, including troubleshooting and redesigning components based on user feedback.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or technology sector.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Analytical Skills: Strong background in stress analysis, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
