Are you a visionary leader with a passion for ultra-luxury hospitality? Aura Maldives Retreats is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations at our flagship island resort. You will be responsible for defining the guest experience, managing a diverse international team, and ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence in one of the world's most sought-after destinations.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who understands the nuances of high-net-worth guest expectations and possesses a track record of driving revenue growth in luxury island environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end resort operations, including F&B, rooms, spa, and recreation.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize GOP and guest satisfaction scores.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multicultural team of over 200 staff members.
- Maintain stringent brand standards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage capital expenditure projects and asset maintenance to preserve the luxury aesthetic.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, owners, and VIP clientele.
- Drive innovative guest engagement programs to enhance resort reputation and market share.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in a 5-star luxury resort or hotel.
- Proven track record in remote island operations or ultra-luxury destination properties.
- Exceptional financial acumen with deep experience in P&L management and forecasting.
- Strong emotional intelligence and cross-cultural management capabilities.
- Fluency in English (additional languages, especially Mandarin or Arabic, are a major plus).
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced island environment.
