Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day warehouse and distribution center operations to ensure optimal throughput.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics coordinators and floor supervisors.
- Develop and execute strategic logistics plans to reduce transit times and operational overhead.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations.
- Analyze supply chain performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to synchronize inventory flow with customer demand.
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate freight rates to optimize shipping budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution management.
- Proven expertise in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates).
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing large-scale teams in fast-paced environments.
- In-depth knowledge of North American logistics networks and carrier management.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or PMP certification is highly preferred.
