Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Oversee a team of logistics professionals, providing mentorship, performance management, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, forecast demands, and make informed decisions to improve operational workflows.
- Negotiate with carriers, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable terms and maintain strong, strategic partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and international transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and improving service levels.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, international shipping, customs procedures, and warehousing best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS) and advanced analytical tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and implement strategic operational changes.
- Certification in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a relevant logistics credential is a plus.
