Responsibilities
- Design and develop sophisticated reservoir simulation models to predict field behavior and optimize recovery factors.
- Analyze pressure transient data and production logs to understand reservoir heterogeneity and drive depletion strategies.
- Lead technical reviews and mentor junior engineers and geoscientists on reservoir engineering principles.
- Forecast future production rates and prepare volumetric estimates for reservoir management plans.
- Collaborate with drilling and completion teams to design optimal well placement and stimulation strategies.
- Conduct economic evaluations of development projects and recommend capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, or tNavigator).
- Extensive knowledge of PVT properties, reservoir geology, and fluid flow mechanisms.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects and managing cross-functional teams.
- P.E. License (Professional Engineer) is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to stakeholders.
