Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of electrical power systems, including low-voltage and high-voltage distribution.
- Conduct complex load calculations, short-circuit studies, and coordination studies using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software components.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure project quality and timely delivery.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Participate in site surveys, design reviews, and client presentations to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial sectors.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and simulation tools such as PSpice or MATLAB.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes (NEC), OSHA standards, and best practices in electrical safety.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
