Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of complex cardiovascular patients.
- Design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing protocols for the CVICU.
- Mentor nursing staff and facilitate professional development workshops to elevate clinical standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary quality improvement projects to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
- Serve as a primary consultant for nursing staff regarding intricate clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and cardiologists to optimize patient recovery trajectories.
- Analyze clinical metrics and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence in care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Board certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an ICU or cardiovascular surgical setting.
- Proven expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and advanced life support interventions.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on collaborative, team-based patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence clinical practice at an institutional level.
