Responsibilities
- Perform regular data audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA) and internal data governance policies.
- Analyze clinical data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement within the healthcare facility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including physicians, nurses, and IT staff, to translate clinical requirements into technical data specifications.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and population health metrics.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of EHR systems, ensuring seamless data migration and user adoption.
- Conduct training sessions for clinical staff on data entry best practices and system functionalities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Biology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P) is highly preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of healthcare terminology, anatomy, and medical coding principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
