Responsibilities
- Perform high-acuity cardiovascular surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repairs.
- Lead and mentor surgical teams, residents, and clinical fellows in the operating room.
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical pathways to enhance patient recovery and safety.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and cardiology case reviews.
- Collaborate with research teams to drive innovation in cardiac surgical methodology.
- Manage preoperative planning and long-term postoperative patient management strategies.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical License in the State of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of clinical experience in a high-volume academic hospital.
- Expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgical techniques.
- Proven track record of academic contribution and clinical research.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage interdisciplinary surgical teams.
