Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Serve as the technical lead for sonography operations, ensuring workflow efficiency.
- Provide expert clinical oversight and mentorship to diagnostic sonography staff.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to analyze complex cardiac images and diagnostic findings.
- Maintain all imaging equipment and ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards.
- Oversee departmental quality assurance programs and image archiving protocols.
- Stay abreast of advancements in cardiovascular imaging techniques and protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital or high-volume lab setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage clinical workflows.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach to healthcare.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to clinical detail.
