Responsibilities
- Lead the full instructional design lifecycle, from needs analysis and content strategy to development, implementation, and evaluation of diverse learning solutions.
- Mentor and guide a team of instructional designers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate strategically with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to define learning objectives, content scope, and project deliverables.
- Design and develop highly engaging and interactive e-learning modules, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), blended learning paths, and performance support tools.
- Ensure the application of modern adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) across all projects.
- Oversee the selection and utilization of appropriate authoring tools, learning technologies, and multimedia resources to optimize learning impact.
- Establish robust evaluation methodologies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and drive iterative enhancements based on data-driven insights.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in learning technology, instructional design, and educational pedagogy, advocating for adoption where beneficial.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior project management role.
- Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Demonstrated expertise in applying adult learning principles, cognitive psychology, and instructional design models to create effective learning experiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, from conception to completion, within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful instructional design projects, including interactive e-learning, blended learning, or innovative digital content.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and content deployment (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Cornerstone).
