Apex Compliance Solutions is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee our environmental and health safety protocols across our London operations. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures aligned with UK legislation (HSE) and international standards (ISO 45001).
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation of accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver engaging safety training programs and toolbox talks to ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in environmental and safety legislation and ensure the organization remains compliant with all local, regional, and national laws.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on safety performance, KPIs, and audit findings for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH National Diploma or NEBOSH General Certificate is essential; IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in a Health & Safety Manager role within a corporate or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of UK HSE regulations, COSHH, RIDDOR, and fire safety legislation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex safety data to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence behavior and drive a safety-first culture.
