Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) aligned with HACCP, ISO 22000, and SQF standards.
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external third-party audits to ensure continuous compliance.
- Oversee supplier quality assurance, including raw material inspection and vendor qualification.
- Lead cross-functional root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for product deviations and customer complaints.
- Manage crisis management and recall protocols to mitigate risks and protect brand reputation.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing QA team, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
- Stay abreast of evolving FDA, USDA, and local food safety regulations to ensure operational compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in food quality assurance, food science, or related fields.
- Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSP) or equivalent advanced certification (e.g., SQF Practitioner, HACCP Lead Auditor).
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining food safety programs in a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and technical reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training staff and reporting to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Experience leading diverse teams and managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
