Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and seasonal dish conceptualization.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, flavor profiles, and presentation standards.
- Mentor and lead a brigade of 20+ kitchen staff to foster a culture of professional growth and efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships to maintain optimal food cost percentages.
- Ensure strict compliance with health department regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house management to facilitate seamless service transitions and guest satisfaction.
- Manage labor costs and scheduling to align with operational budgets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fine-dining kitchens, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in modern culinary techniques and diverse flavor profiles.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, food cost analysis, and waste reduction.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen management systems.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
