Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal menus featuring locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients
- Mentor and lead a team of 15+ culinary professionals through rigorous training programs
- Oversee inventory management, cost control, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with beverage director to create complementary food-pairing experiences
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and local health regulations
- Conduct weekly kitchen staff training sessions and performance evaluations
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to drive menu evolution
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in Michelin-starred or fine dining establishments
- Proven track record in menu development and kitchen management
- Certification in Food Safety Management (e.g., ServSafe)
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainable sourcing and farm-to-table practices
- Exceptional leadership and team development abilities
- Portfolio showcasing innovative culinary techniques and plating designs
- Knowledge of Texas agricultural products and regional specialties
- Ability to manage high-volume operations while maintaining quality standards
