Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal menus that highlight regional ingredients and culinary trends
- Lead kitchen operations including inventory management, cost control, and food safety compliance
- Mentor and develop culinary staff through training and performance feedback
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Source high-quality local ingredients and build supplier relationships
- Oversee kitchen staff scheduling and labor cost optimization
- Implement sustainable practices in food preparation and waste reduction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive kitchen leadership experience in high-volume fine dining
- Formal culinary education or equivalent apprenticeship certification
- Deep knowledge of Texas seasonal ingredients and Southern cuisine
- Proven ability to create innovative, market-driven menus
- Strong financial acumen in P&L management and budgeting
- ServSafe certification and HACCP knowledge
- Exceptional communication and team leadership skills
